To get 2 ohm resistance using only 6 ohm resistors, the number of them required is
– 3
Three resistors of 2 ohm is required to get 6 ohm because resultant is more than individual so they all must be connected in series.
The explanation is not correct. As per the question how many 6ohm resistors are required to decom a 2ohm resistor ? The correct explanation is if three 6ohm resistors are in parallel then effective resistance will be 2ohm.
