I didn't think this was an advanced level and some of the answers were a bit dubious e.g. so far, so good doesn't actually mean not bad, but it was the closest of the options given. Also, the early bird catches the worm could mean that the person who arrives first gets everything, not necessarily just the best.

As for the phrase "so far so good" how would you explain it? I wonder how you understand it.
And as for the second saying I can't agree with you. Sometimes it can be "everything" but usually it's said meaning really "the best". Let's imagine the situation. You have a plate of chocolote candies and lollypops. Your brother wakes up early and eats all of the chocolate candies. You see it and you are furious. Do you think he can't answer you with this phrase about the worm? He didn't eat "everything".
The only thing I can agree is that "the best" is a relative thing, of course. But also English is a language. It's not an exact science.
