✍️ El Imperio incaico o inca en quechua Tawantin suyu, referente a ‘las cuatro regiones o divisiones’) fue el mayor imperio en la américa precolombina. Se denominó Tahuantinsuyu o Tahwantinsuyo al período de su dominio, como incanato y/o incario floreciendo en la región de los andes peruanos como consecuencia del apogeo de la civilización incaica. Extendiéndose desde el océano Pacífico al oeste hasta la selva amazónica (Brasil) al este y desde las cercanías de Pasto (Colombia) al norte hasta el río Maule (Chile) al sur.
