Sexual selection, reproductive strategies and ... much more!

Intermediate
«Sexual selection depends on the success of certain individuals over others of the same sex, in relation to the propagation of the species; while natural selection depends on the success of both sexes, at all ages, in relation to the general conditions of life. The sexual struggle is of two kinds: in the one it is between the individuals of the same sex, generally the males, in order to drive away or kill their rivals, the females remaining passive; while in the other, the struggle is likewise between the individuals of the same sex, in order to excite or charm those of the opposite sex, generally the females, which no longer remain passive, but select the more agreeable partners..» {Charles Darwin, 1871: The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex (1st ed.)}

This is a very informative quiz with lots of extra information and pictures.

I am still irritated by the answer of question 9: wolfs are known to be monogamous to me and a google search in my language does confirm this.

Also question number 28 felt like a trick, because it says "the male is laying the eggs" in the question, but, the answer suggests otherwise.

Anyway, this is still a good quiz and I'd be happy to receive an answer from the creator :D

Hi!
As for question 9, could you write the source from which you read this information?

As for the n.28 you're right, I was wrong to ask the question, it was a distraction error. Also because from how you may have read in the comment I better explain what happens.

In general, I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you for your response :)
Here is a website which says wolves are monogamous
https://www.rd.com/culture/animals-mate-for-life/

I understand this source isn't very ... well scientific. But what I am trying to say is, that you can probably say wolves are or aren't monogamous and neither be completly wrong nor right so the question would have been better with another animal. But that's just one question out of many good questions. :)
